The Lisa and Douglas Goldman Fund announces grants totaling $13.4 million paid to 238 nonprofit organizations in 2022. Grants address the strategic priorities of the Fund, including voter engagement, gun violence prevention, strengthening civic education and early literacy, climate change mitigation and resilience, engaging Jews in defending civil liberties, and protecting reproductive health and rights. In 2022, the Fund also responded to emergent needs by awarding $2 million in special initiatives to provide emergency relief in response to the war in Ukraine and for immediate assistance in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
